A Canada’s Walk of Fame Induction is bestowed to Canadians who have excelled in one of our five Pillars of Achievement, and an Inductee is also selected posthumously as our Legend:
- Arts & Entertainment
- Entrepreneurship & Philanthropy
- Humanitarianism
- Science, Technology & Innovation
- Sports & Athletics
- Legend
To date, there have been over 230 inductions into Canada’s Walk of Fame over the past 20+ years. Each year an Executive Selection Committee (made up of Canada’s Walk of Fame Board and Executives) chooses the Inductees from a long list of deserving Canadians who fit the criteria. The Canadian public is encouraged to put forward their recommendations via the form to the right, by email or mail.
Canada’s Walk of Fame receives hundreds of passionate requests for nominations each year. All nominations are reviewed to ensure specific details of the required criteria above are met. The information provided will be researched. Canada’s Walk of Fame and its Executive Selection Committee will further meet to review and recommend selected nominations to the Board of Directors.
Canada’s Walk of Fame announces its annual Inductees during the summer months prior to the annual Broadcast and Dinner Gala which is held at year’s end.
