At the 2022 Canada’s Walk of Fame Awards Gala, Grand Prize winner of the RBC Emerging Musician Program, Mattmac, delivered a powerful performance of his song “Paradise” featuring Outside Looking In.
Blind music producer and recording artist Mattmac has quickly risen as a national talent, blending melodic pop-trap beats with an inspiring personal story. His music has garnered over 800,000 streams and critical acclaim from CBC, CTV, Virgin Radio, and more. Outside Looking In, featured in the performance, is a community-driven organization that empowers Indigenous youth through dance, leadership, and entrepreneurship programs across Canada, making a meaningful impact in remote communities.
Founded in 2007, Outside Looking In started by introducing dance classes to remote Indigenous communities as a tool to motivate youth to stay in school. 15 years later, OLI offers Dance, Leadership, Work/Study, and Entrepreneurship programming to communities, organizations, Friendship Centres and Public-School Boards across Canada.
