With the success and recognition she garnered from Playboy, Pamela Anderson moved from Canada to Los Angeles where she spent two seasons on ABC’s hit series Home Improvement as Lisa, the Tool Time Girl. Around that time, Anderson was cast as C.J. Parker in the internationally successful series Baywatch. Due to the impossible scheduling requirements of working on two hit shows at once, she eventually left Home Improvement to focus on Baywatch.
Anderson also appeared on the big screen in several films, including The Taking of Beverly Hills, Raw Justice and the action comedy Barb Wire. In addition, Anderson was featured in the CBS movie-of-the-week, Come Die with Me: A Mickey Spillane’s Mike Hammer Mystery.
After leaving Baywatch, Anderson starred in and produced the hit TV show V.I.P. which ran for four seasons until 2002. In 2003, she starred in Spike TV’s Stripperella, a cartoon developed by Stan Lee. In 2005, Anderson starred in the first season of the FOX comedy show Stacked.
As an activist for the animal rights movement, Anderson has led many campaigns condemning practices that involve animal cruelty, including the fur and fast food industry. In March 2005, Anderson became a spokesperson for MAC Cosmetics’s MAC AIDS Fund, which helped people affected by AIDS and HIV.
