For more than three decades, Jason Priestley has worked in all aspects of film and television as an actor, director and producer. Since ruling the airways in the ’90s as teenage heartthrob Brandon Walsh in Beverly Hills, 90210, Priestley has amassed an extensive list of credits and accolades.
His acting credits include Private Eyes, Away from Everywhere, Raising Expectations, Zoom, Love and Death on Long Island, Eye of the Beholder, Die, Mommie, Die!, Medium, and My Name is Earl.
Priestley earned multiple awards for the Canadian comedy series Call Me Fitz (for which he also produced and directed several episodes), including Best Comedy Actor at the Canadian Screen Awards, Best Comedy Actor at the Monte Carlo Television Festival, Best TV Performance by a Male at the Canadian Comedy Awards and Best Actor Award at the Roma Fiction Festival. The series was also nominated for 16 Gemini Awards and won seven in 2011.
Behind the camera, Priestley has spent a good part of his career directing successful film and television programming for which he has received numerous accolades. He directed/produced multiple episodes of Beverly Hills 90210, Barenaked in America, a documentary about the Canadian rock band Barenaked Ladies, Rookie Blue, Saving Hope, and Haven in which he was also a guest star. His first independent Canadian film, Cas & Dylan, received critical acclaim, including a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role. In 2013, the film was awarded the Best Canadian Film Award at the Toronto International Film Festival’s Film Circuit People’s Choice Awards and the Audience Award and Best Actress Award at the Whistler Film Festival. In 2014, Cas & Dylan was showcased as the closing night film at the Palm Beach International Film Festival.
