On Monday, July 11, 2022, Canada’s Walk of Fame celebrated Cindy Klassen, 2019 Inductee and six-time Olympic medalist, with a special Hometown Stars event at The Fort Garry Hotel in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The free public celebration featured a commemorative plaque unveiling, guest speakers, and musical performances, honouring Klassen’s historic achievements in long-track speed skating.

Cindy Klassen selected Airdrie Pregnancy Care Centre and Mennonite Central Committee (Manitoba Branch) as beneficiaries of her $10,000 donation, split equally to support their community work.
