On June 29, 2018, Canada’s Walk of Fame will celebrate Viola Desmond, inducted last year in Toronto, with a special Hometown Stars event in her hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The commemorative star will be unveiled at the Halifax Ferry Terminal and later mounted aboard the harbour ferry named in her honour, recognizing her remarkable contributions and deep ties to the community.
