On Canada Day 2018, Canada’s Walk of Fame celebrated legendary singer-songwriter Stompin’ Tom Connors with a special Hometown Stars ceremony at the Stompin’ Tom Centre in Skinners Pond, Prince Edward Island. The event featured the unveiling of a permanent plaque in his hometown, honouring his lasting impact on Canadian music and culture.

Speakers Included:

  • Taw Connors, son of Stompin’ Tom Connors

Stompin’ Tom is remembered for iconic songs such as The Hockey Song, Bud the Spud, and Big Joe Mufferaw, whose storytelling continues to unite Canadians across generations. This heartfelt tribute reaffirmed his deep connection to Skinners Pond and his enduring legacy.
