On Monday, September 12, 2022, Canada’s Walk of Fame celebrated Bret “Hitman” Hart, 2021 Inductee and WWE Hall of Famer, with a special Hometown Stars event at Calgary’s Historic Victoria Pavilion. The free public celebration featured a commemorative plaque unveiling, guest speakers, traditional performances, and musical tributes honouring Hart’s legendary wrestling career.

Performances Included:
- Siksika Nation’s Sorrel Rider Drum Group with traditional drumming
- Elder Clement Leather, blessing ceremony
- Kaiya Gamble, Calgary-native singer, performing the national anthem and a special song dedicated to Bret
Bret Hart selected the Siksika Nation’s SN7 youth program and Water First as beneficiaries of his $10,000 donation, split equally to support Indigenous youth and clean water initiatives.
