On Saturday, December 3, 2022, Canada’s Walk of Fame hosted its annual Awards Gala at the Beanfield Centre in Toronto, welcoming 1,000 guests for an evening of celebration. The gala honoured the 2022 Inductees: Lionel Conacher, Deborah Cox, Director X, Barbara Frum, Just For Laughs, Tatiana Maslany, Heather Reisman, and The Tragically Hip.
Special honours included Dr. James Temerty receiving the National Hero Honour and the Arkells being recognized with the Allan Slaight Music Impact Honour. The event featured memorable performances and tributes by artists and Canada’s Walk of Fame alumni, all captured for a special broadcast on CTV, which aired on December 17, 2022.
The gala included 22 presenters, such as Margaret Atwood, Peter Mansbridge, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Andre De Grasse, Joel Silver, and more, making it a star-studded celebration of Canadian achievement.
