On November 15, 2017, Canada’s Walk of Fame honoured its 2017 Inductees at the Beyond Famous Gala held at Toronto’s Liberty Grand. The intimate evening celebrated legendary figures including Donovan Bailey, Viola Desmond, Anna Paquin, Ted Rogers, David Suzuki, and Stompin’ Tom Connors, alongside Allan Slaight Music Impact Honour recipient Shawn Hook. The event also featured the unveiling of a special star commemorating Canada 150. A one-hour documentary special hosted by Eric McCormack aired on Global TV on December 3, highlighting Canada’s Walk of Fame’s rich history.
