Transforming Recognition: Our Pillars of Excellence

At Canada’s Walk of Fame, we truly believe Canada’s remarkable reputation on the world stage comes from our diversity and the pride we take in celebrating that diversity.

That being said, it’s difficult to pinpoint one thing that makes Canada so special – is it our open spaces and incredible landscapes? Is it our apologetic nature? Our passion for winter sports? The thing about Canada is that it’s not one thing – it’s everything.

Keeping this in mind, Canada’s Walk of Fame has decided to transform how we recognize our exceptional and inspiring Canadians. Because the talent that Canada emits comes from every area of interest, we have established five categories that cover the wide range of strengths in which our people excel.

These are our Pillars of Excellence.

Our goal is to recognize and catalyze excellence at all levels and in a wider range of pursuits. From distinguished judge Louise Arbour to actor and activist Michael J. Fox; from athlete and philanthropist Terry Fox to renowned astronaut Dr. Roberta Bondar, the vision of our future will share the captivating stories of our past Inductees and all Inductees to come.

It’s time to celebrate the fabric of our identity by shining a light on all of our strengths – on our individuality.
