More Special Guests And Stellar Opening Acts To Join Canada’s Walk Of Fame Festival Headliners

Canada’s Walk of Fame, in partnership with National Premier Partner RBC, announced today that Colin MacDonald and John-Angus MacDonald of the multi-ECMA Award-winning rock band The Trews, Juno-winning R&B songstress Divine Brown, two-time Juno-winning hip hop duo Rascalz, Vancouver rockers 54-40 and acclaimed musician LeE HARVeY OsMOND (Tom Wilson), are all slated to join the impressive three-day line-up of performances as part of Canada’s Walk of Fame Festival. This year’s Festival is headlined by rock ‘n’ roll royalty Burton Cummings, JUNO-winning songstress Serena Ryder and a landmark concert with Maestro Fresh Wes and Friends.

Thursday, September 19, 8pm, Massey Hall

Burton Cummings is back by popular demand to kick off the fourth annual Canada’s Walk of Fame Festival with special guest LeE HARVeY OsMOND (Tom Wilson), Canadian rocker and Juno Award-winning member of Blackie and the Rodeo Kings.

Friday, September 20, 8pm, Massey Hall

Soulful songstress and four-time JUNO Award winner Serena Ryder will stomp onto the stage to make her headlining debut performance at Massey Hall. Opening for Ryder will be one of Canada’s all-time favourite bands 54-40, celebrating their 30th anniversary and whose mega-hits include “I Go Blind,” “Baby Ran,” and “One Day In Your Life.”

Saturday, September 21, 8pm, Massey Hall

The godfather of Canadian hip hop Maestro Fresh Wes and Friends, celebrate the 25th anniversary of his groundbreaking career. The landmark concert will include performances from his JUNO Award-winning debut album Symphony In Effect as well as tracks off his 2013 collaborative album Orchestrated Noise. Joining previously announced guests, including K-OS, Kardinal Offishall, Classified and Shad, are JUNO Award-winning artists Divine Brown, Rascalz, as well as Colin MacDonald and John-Angus MacDonald of the multi-ECMA Award-winning rock band The Trews – all part of the powerhouse line-up slated to perform a few songs alongside Maestro FreshWes.

The Canada’s Walk of Fame Festival is a central part of a series of signature events that include the Red Carpet Induction Ceremony, the Canada’s Walk of Fame Awards, the Inductee Charity Ball and the national broadcast on Global, which will air in the fall (date and time tbc).

Funding for Canada’s Walk of Fame Festival has been provided by the Government of Ontario through the Ontario Cultural Attractions Fund, Celebrate Ontario and Tourism Event Marketing Program.
