Jason Priestley Announced As Host Of 2015 Canada’s Walk Of Fame Show

Toronto, ON, September 28, 2014 – Shaw Media and Canada’s Walk of Fame proudly announced today the return of Jason Priestley as Host of the upcoming 2015 Canada’s Walk of Fame show. The beloved Vancouver-born actor/director will emcee the star-studded tribute to iconic Canadians, airing Thursday, December 17 at 8 PM ET/PT on Global.

The 2015 Canada’s Walk of Fame inductees will be announced from Toronto tomorrow, Tuesday, September 29 at 1 PM ET, in an event hosted by ET Canada’s Cheryl Hickey. For the first time, Canada’s Walk of Fame and Shaw Media are live streaming the 2015 inductee announcement, featuring a surprise appearance from one of this year’s inductees, nationwide on GlobalNews.ca and ETCanada.com.

Actor, director, producer and author, Priestley has enjoyed a robust and diverse career in entertainment. Best known for playing the charming Brandon Walsh on Beverly Hills 90210, Priestley is a seasoned actor and has received multiple awards including a Canadian Screen Award for “Best Comedy Actor” in 2014 for his role on Call Me Fitz. His talent on screen translated to a passion behind the camera, spending a significant portion of his career directing numerous episodes of hit programs like Rookie Blue, Saving Hope and Haven. Jason is about to start production on his new series, The Code, airing on Global next year.

The 2015 Canada’s Walk of Fame show brings the country’s most notable Canadians together, with show-stopping performances and heartfelt tributes, to honour individuals for their achievements in fields, including music, sports, film and television, literary, visual and performing arts, science, innovation, philanthropy and social justice.
