Canada’s Walk of Fame Appoints Two New Members To The Board of Directors

(Toronto, ON) May 11, 2016 – The Board of Directors of Canada’s Walk of Fame today announced the appointment of two new members: Duncan Bureau, Vice President, Global Sales at Air Canada and Nick Di Donato, President and CEO of Liberty Entertainment Group. With these two new appointments, the Board is now comprised of 11 members with expertise in a variety of industries.

“Duncan and Nick add valuable perspective to our Board of Directors,” said Lewis Rusen, Chairman of the Board. “We appreciate their willingness to serve on the Board for Canada’s Walk of Fame and we look forward to benefiting from their judgment and counsel.”

Duncan Bureau is the Vice President, Global Sales at Air Canada. He was appointed to this strategic role in June 2014. His key responsibilities are to oversee the airline’s revenue generated through all sales channels from all of the airline’s points of sale and business strategies worldwide. Before joining Air Canada, Bureau held similar positions with other airlines, including Malaysia Airlines, WestJet and Canadian Airlines, that saw him managing the companies’ strategic directions in sales and business development. Some of his notable accomplishments include being named one of the Top 50 Airline Influencers in Asia by Terrapinn in 2013 and Top 25 Airline Executives in North America by Business Travel News in 2008. Bureau also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Lethbridge in Alberta.

Nick Di Donato, President and CEO of the Liberty Entertainment Group, has been a formidable strong arm within the restaurant and special event industries in both Toronto and Miami for over three decades. Among other accomplishments, The Liberty Entertainment Group oversaw the restoration of key historic properties in both cities, including Toronto’s Casa Loma and Miami’s Coral Gables Country Club.

In recognition of Di Donato’s redefining contribution to the development and representation of the restaurant and special event industry, he has received numerous awards, including the Best of the Best award from Toronto’s Construction Association, the Pinnacle Award for Entrepreneur of the Year from Foodservice & Hospitality Magazine, Ontario’s Trillium Award for Restauranteur of the Year and a Lifetime Achievement Award from Toronto Night Club and Bartender’s Ball. In addition to his success in business, Di Donato has been recognized for his tremendous achievements and contributions to the economic prosperity of the City of Toronto and has been awarded the Business Recognition Award from the Toronto Economic Development Council.
