Fashion design: What’s love got to do with it?
DS: A quick romp leaves you empty. Putting love into your works, is a reward that lives with you forever, if you don’t love what you do, you can’t do it well.
F.D: What’s the most important question that you’ve never been asked?
DS: Are you happy?
F.D: Who from Canada’s cultural past or present—male or female—would it be
fun for you to dress?
DS: To our honor, this year, we have been chosen to dress some of Canada’s most
prestigious talents for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
F.D: What does gay liberation mean to you?
DS: Freedom.
F.D: Important and serious: how long are the best men’s shorts for summer 2010? How much life is left in cargo pockets?
DS: The best men’s shorts for summer is 32cm. Cargo pockets have become classic…always good!
F.D: You design for men and women. What’s different between boys and girls?
DS: It depends on our state of mind and what we are doing. They are kind of the same: denim gets younger, evening gets older.
F.D: What’s different between Dan and Dean?
DS: Not a lot, about 5 kg and few inches.
F.D: Got any recipes for a satisfied mind?
DS: Never give up…follow your heart…climb every mountain…don’t stop believing it!
F.D: What dreams are yet to be fulfilled?
DS: We are still dreaming our impossible dream, it’s not over yet, still work in progress.
