The City Of Toronto Honours Canada’s Walk Of Fame Inductees Team Canada 1972 At Nathan Phillips Square

BLUE RODEO’S FRONTMAN, JIM CUDDY AND HIS SON DEVIN CUDDY WILL EACH PERFORM AT THIS SPECIAL PRESENTATION ALSO LAUNCHING THE CANADA’S WALK OF FAME FESTIVAL’S FREE PROGRAMMING, PRESENTED BY SHOP.CA

WHAT: The City of Toronto will be making a special presentation to members of Team Canada 1972 in honour of their Canada’s Walk of Fame induction and the 40th anniversary of their victory over the Soviets in the Canada/Russia ‘Friendship Series’. Paul Henderson’s jersey will also be on display and available for photos for the afternoon.

Blue Rodeo’s Jim Cuddy and his son, emerging artist Devin Cuddy of The Devin Cuddy Band will each perform during this special presentation and will also launch the Canada’s Walk of Fame Festival’s free concert series, presented by SHOP.CA, from September 21-23 at Nathan Phillips Square.

Musical guests will continue into the evening as Canada Music Hall of Fame inductee, Tom Cochrane, performs with Red Rider. Canada’s Walk of Fame Festival is a four-day celebration of 100 % Canadian culture featuring the country’s most popular and iconic performers and emerging artists. In addition, the Festival will feature hockey-themed activities including a Leafs Mobile Fan Zone, synthetic ice and instructional activities with the Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey Development Team and past members of the Canadian Women’s Olympic Hockey Team.
